compile against either/both libusb 1.0 / 0.1

Our source package should detect what version(s) of libusb are installed and maybe issue a warning, but allow someone to compile with only the new or only the old libusb version. Once that is done, we can have debian source package have libusb 1.0 or libusb 0.1 as a dependency.
