iguanaIR daemon not reliable on startup

Description

The daemon doesn't startup successfully, I had to purchase streamzap which is very reliable at startup. Typically the error message in the log is "Failed to get version". I'm using Fedora 10 and compiled the LIRC and Iguana software from source from your website. I have to restart the daemon a number of times before it has an successfully startup. It has to startup the first time or it's useless for my commercial application.

First of all, it sounds like it may be a hardware problem, but without some logging I cannot be certain. Since you already "had to purchase streamzap" are you interested in debugging this problem, returning for a refund, or just telling us it's broken?

For debugging, if you run the daemon on the command line as root:

igdaemon -nvvv

You will see the details I need to take a look at this. Kill the daemon with ctrl-c and see if you can replicate the start up error and send me the printed text. If you would like to return the device, please send a message to me (jdunn) through the contact us link.
